The Eco club in our college has conducted an awarenesses session on July 11 as part of world population day. The awareness programme on the topic adverse effects of population explosion on the environment.
Today we celebrate the 67th Theophilus dayin Mar theophilus training college. His Grace Jacob Mar Theophilus on 27 th june 2023 as Mar theophilus day. The chief guest was Rev. Dr. Jolly Karimbil. Father Thomas kayyalaykkal and Rev.Dr. Jolly karimbil have inaugurated the programme. The programme was organized by AICUF club In association with IQAC in Mar Theo philips training college. Today's main attraction was the talk of Rev.Dr. Jolly Karimbil about the topic ' Teacher Excellence '. His class was so informative and give a brief idea about Jacob Mar Theophilus, the founder of our college. His contribution to education was remarkable and he serve unconditionally. He was the disciple of Rev.Mar Ivanios. His talk gives the idea about the relationship between teacher and students, present social scenario, imitation of western culture, characters of a good teacher,etc. He presented the session in a pleasing way. Language efficiency is an important role in teaching learning process. Effective communication skills will empower us to create an innovative teaching strategy. Today the English association has started a programme to help the students to learn english and help in competitive examinations. Today's session is about 'Substitution by a single word'.The class was taken by Radhika from English department. The class was so nice and I feel very useful. Because in any competitive examination , English is a compulsory language. So we need to learn more and acquire proficiency in English language.After the session there is a questioning part was there to check our memory level and learning capacity.
The one-day tour was a successful blend of education, culture, and leisure. Our first stop was Chitharal, where we visited the ancient Jain monuments and rock-cut temples. The short trek to the hilltop was refreshing, and the students were captivated by the serene environment and the historical significance of the site. The panoramic view from the top added to the beauty of the visit. Next, we proceeded to Padmanabhapuram Palace, a remarkable example of traditional Kerala architecture.
